Self-aligning Ball bearing families consist of metric and inches series. Metric series include extra narrow 12** type, narrow 13** type, wide 22** type, extra wide 23** type. While inches series include light NLJ type and Medium NMJ tyle.

The part number of Self-aligning Ball bearings normally consist of follows parts: Materies prefix, basic typer & series, bore size, seal material, cage material, and internal clearance. If the parts is blank, it means it is standard.

Take HTF2210.2RS.TNG.C3 for example, HTF is materies prefix, means this bearing is made of High tough materieal (If it is blank, then the bearing is standard materials); 22 is bearing type and series, means this bearing is metric,self-aligning, wide type; 10 is bore size, means this bearing ID is 50mm; 2RS is seal type, means it with double contact seal. TNG is cage material, means it is with Polyamide cage. C3 is internal clearnace.

Different Brands have same self-aligning ball bearing parts number. But the suffix and prefix are quite different. For examples, double contact seal, NSK is ‘2RS’, SKF is ‘2RS1’, and FAG is ‘2RSR’, while NTN is ‘LLU’. For Polyamide cage, NSK is ‘TNG’, SKF is ‘TN9’, FAG is ‘TV’.
